E-J has a over a 125-year reputation for integrity, quality, and exceptional service in the electrical field.Location: Wallingford, CTAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of company trucks and equipment. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, this position will focus on ensuring the fleet is maintained and compliant, coordinate repairs, and manage equipment rentals.Key ResponsibilitiesUtilizing company mechanics and third party vendors, manage the maintenance and repair of company trucks and equipmentDevelop and maintain preventative maintenance schedulesCoordinate emergency repairs and ensure quick turnaround for equipment needed in the fieldArrange equipment rentals as needed, monitor rental utilization and maintenance needsSupervise mechanics, both shop and roadMaintain accurate service records, inspection logs, and compliance documentationMonitor equipment usage, repair costs, and maintenance budgetsAssist with sourcing parts and maintaining accurate inventoryEnsure compliance with all applicable safety standards, laws, and company safety policiesIdentify and setup new vendors as necessary to support field operationsCoordinate moves of equipment to and from jobsites nationwideQualificationsFamiliar with trucks and heavy equipment, understanding of their mechanical systems and componentsStrong organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to multitask and work independentlyExperience working with equipment dealers such as Cat, Volvo, Takeuchi, and VermeerUnderstanding of DOT rules and regulationsProficient with computers, cell phones, and other common technologyValid driver's license.
