Salary: $30 - $35/Hour

Express Employment is looking for a Purchasing Specialist temp to hire. This position requires 3+ years of current experience.

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00AM - 4:30PM (work hours varies)

Pay: $30 - $35/Hour

Job Description:

• Procured raw materials, components, fabrication services, and outsourced assemblies to support agricultural equipment manufacturing.
• Negotiated supplier pricing, contracts, and terms to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Partnered with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure materials met technical and operational requirements.
• Managed inventory levels based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
• Evaluated supplier performance, resolved supply issues, and implemented corrective actions when needed.
• Identified and implemented cost-reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and process improvements.
• Ensured compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Utilized ERP/MRP systems to manage purchase orders, inventory transactions, and procurement activities.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and hands-on problem-solving skills.
• All other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of purchasing or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in agricultural equipment or heavy machinery industries.
• Strong understanding of mechanical components, steel fabrication, hydraulics, and commodity materials.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and build strong supplier relationships.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in ISO manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and JIT inventory systems.
• Familiarity with international sourcing and logistics.
