Job Summary:

Medical Surgical Floor Nurse position located in an acute care hospital setting. This role involves providing routine and complex nursing care in a basic medical-surgical unit, working independently with awareness of all relevant clinical aspects. The assigned shift is days, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with minimum weekly hours of 36. The position is available to start on October 5, 2026, and will continue through January 2, 2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license; BLS certification via AHA; 0+ years of nursing experience; Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide independent nursing care following the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitor for side effects, and document patient history and care provided
  • Assess patient and family education needs; provide guidance and support as appropriate
  • Make appropriate care assignments and delegate duties to support staff as necessary
  • Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice
• Certifications: BLS certification via AHA, RN license in state of employment or compact
• Work Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, full-time assignment from 10/05/2026 to 01/02/2027
