Job Title: Manufacturing Test Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Job Type and Duration: On-Site, Direct-Hire
Pay range: $90,000 - $112,000 Job Purpose:
The position is responsible for designing and executing the proper test procedures required to introduce new products into production.
Key Job Functions:
1. Act as the key interface between engineering and manufacturing to understand product
feature set and test requirements.
2. Communicate with management and users to develop production test requirements and
standards.
3. Assist in the preparation of final release documentation for product testing to ensure that the
ISO company standards are being followed.
4. Draft test and assembly plans for new production products.
5. Assist in the drafting and setup of test systems.
6. Define requirements for workspace and test equipment and other materials for maximum
efficiency.
7. Plan for sequence of operations in assembly and test, striving for continual improvements in
efficiencies.
8. Use LabView to create and document test procedures for new products.
9. Trouble shoot electronics and test setups to determine root cause of failures.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or
related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in manufacturing test environment.
Specific Skills:
Technical writing, organizational skills. Test experience using LabView a plus.
Must be hands on engineer capable of troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical equipment
