RN - MS Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required state nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Patient ratio experience of 6 Charting system experience preferred Description:UNIT DETAILS:Diagnoses include, but are not limited to, chest pain, hip/knee surgery, altered mental status, small bowel obstruction, urinary tract infection, respiratory distress, pancreatitis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, congestive heart failure, sepsis, acute kidney injury, encephalopathy, ascites, COVID-19, and anemia. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.No call is required.Floating within facility/scope of practice may be necessary as needed. Travelers may be expected to work major holidays during their assignment.Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. FULL compliance is required to start on time.If not compliant in time, the start date may be pushed back by 2 weeks due to scheduling. The unit has an average daily census of 26.Staffing support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary.
