About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Technology Risk Management to lead the establishment and maintenance of an effective technology risk management framework and culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the technology risk framework, governance, policies, and processes to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. This role involves close collaboration with various business units to ensure that the company's methodologies and frameworks for technology risk are robust and in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. The VP will also be accountable for strategic contribution, people management, budgeting, and financial planning, as well as continuous improvement in technology risk management practices. Candidates for the VP Technology Risk Management position at the company should have advanced qualifications in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree in business administration or a related discipline. Financial industry certifications such as CRISC or CISM are also preferred. A minimum of 15 years' of relevant experience, with at least 10 years' in a technology risk management role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing change projects, experience in both wholesale and retail banking, and strong communication, presentation, and people management skills. The role demands a leader who can foster a strong risk-aware culture, provide oversight and reporting on technology risk, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders to proactively address technology risks across the organization.
