This facility operates five days a week, with overtime potential, and produces Bacon and Bacon Toppings.Starting Pay: $28.90 with a $1.75 cent shift differential. Leveling (pay) is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job. We have open positions for second and third shift.Position SummaryThis position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The Maintenance Mechanic position has responsibilities to maintain, troubleshoot and repair a variety of electromechanical equipment in a food processing environment.ResponsibilitiesMust perform troubleshooting and repair, and provide technical support for all phases of the operationMust be able to understand technical and training manualsHandle and distribute cleaning chemicals and record dataComply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF RequirementsRequires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as basic electrical, electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication and manufacturing processesPrevious experience, special training, and formal education in a mechanical capacity is preferred for this outlined position.The position requires strong communication skillsPerform general housekeeping duties in the departmentPerform any other work as assigned by supervisorMust perform all positions of rotation, if applicablePhysical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.Must be willing and able to push/pull/lift up to 75 poundsThe Team Member will stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, and reachThe Team Member will climb up and down stairs and laddersRequirements: Minimum of one (1) year of maintenance work experience documented in the work history section of the application OR be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
