Registered Nurse (RN) – Ambulatory Radiation Oncology

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage treatment-related side effects in oncology patients undergoing radiation therapy
• Develop and coordinate individualized, patient-centered care plans in collaboration with radiation oncologists and interdisciplinary teams
• Administer treatments and medications, monitor patient responses to therapy, and ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, symptom management, and psychosocial support resources
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
• Support quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and professional development activities

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Prior oncology nursing experience
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Radiation oncology clinical experience
• Brachytherapy experience
• BSN degree and/or oncology specialty certification
