Location: Bridgeton, NJ

Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated Paraprofessionals / Instructional Aides – Special Education to support students with special needs in reaching their fullest potential. In this vital role, you will work closely with teachers to implement individualized learning plans, assist with daily classroom instruction, and help create a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can succeed.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (required)
• Experience working with students with disabilities or in special education settings (preferred)
• Knowledge of child development and effective classroom practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group instructional support to students with special needs
• Assist teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Clarify and reinforce lessons, directions, and concepts introduced by the teacher
• Support students with assignments, classwork, and behavioral goals
• Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, field trips, and transitions
• Participate in meetings and professional development as assigned
• Assist students with personal care needs when necessary (e.g., snack routines, dressing assistance)
• Provide guidance during community-based instruction and life skills activities
• Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment for all students
