The Electrician Helper will work under the direction of experienced electricians, assisting with the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, eager to learn, reliable, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced construction or industrial setting.
Position Summary
The Electrician Helper supports electricians with daily jobsite activities, material handling, installation tasks, and general labor responsibilities. This position plays a critical role in maintaining project efficiency, jobsite safety, and quality workmanship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Support conduit installation, wire pulling, cable routing, and device mounting.
- Assist with bending and installing EMT, rigid conduit, and other raceway systems.
- Gather, organize, and transport tools, materials, and equipment throughout jobsites.
- Assist with electrical panel, transformer, and equipment installations.
- Help maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and jobsite requirements.
- Read and interpret basic electrical drawings and instructions under supervision.
- Assist with testing and troubleshooting electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely.
- Load, unload, and properly store materials and supplies.
- Assist with inventory control and material tracking.
- Travel to project sites as required.
- Support warehouse, fabrication, and other company operations when electrical work is limited.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and electricians.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous construction, industrial, warehouse, or electrical helper experience preferred but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn electrical installation techniques.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical labor.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Ability to work overtime and travel when project needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to commercial or industrial electrical construction.
- Experience pulling wire and installing conduit.
- Familiarity with electrical hand tools and construction equipment.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Forklift experience.
- Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work at heights using ladders, lifts, and scaffolding as needed.
- Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Work safely in construction, industrial, warehouse, and outdoor environments.

Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday
- Typical hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Overtime opportunities available based on project needs
- Travel may be required depending on project assignments
