The Electrician Helper will work under the direction of experienced electricians, assisting with the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, eager to learn, reliable, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced construction or industrial setting.

Position Summary

The Electrician Helper supports electricians with daily jobsite activities, material handling, installation tasks, and general labor responsibilities. This position plays a critical role in maintaining project efficiency, jobsite safety, and quality workmanship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Support conduit installation, wire pulling, cable routing, and device mounting.
• Assist with bending and installing EMT, rigid conduit, and other raceway systems.
• Gather, organize, and transport tools, materials, and equipment throughout jobsites.
• Assist with electrical panel, transformer, and equipment installations.
• Help maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and jobsite requirements.
• Read and interpret basic electrical drawings and instructions under supervision.
• Assist with testing and troubleshooting electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely.
• Load, unload, and properly store materials and supplies.
• Assist with inventory control and material tracking.
• Travel to project sites as required.
• Support warehouse, fabrication, and other company operations when electrical work is limited.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and electricians.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous construction, industrial, warehouse, or electrical helper experience preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn electrical installation techniques.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical labor.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and travel when project needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to commercial or industrial electrical construction.
• Experience pulling wire and installing conduit.
• Familiarity with electrical hand tools and construction equipment.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Forklift experience.
• Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work at heights using ladders, lifts, and scaffolding as needed.
• Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Work safely in construction, industrial, warehouse, and outdoor environments.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday through Friday
• Typical hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Overtime opportunities available based on project needs
• Travel may be required depending on project assignments
