Cecil offers associate degrees, certificate programs and non-credit classes. Cecil offers a variety of associate degree and certificate programs. JOB SUMMARY: Semester 1/20/26 – 5/11/26 Instructor needed for mathematics classes, including Statistics, Precalculus, and Developmental Math. Classes are delivered in-person in a face-to-face format, so this position requires in-person presence. The spring semester, during which the classes will be taught, runs from January 20 through May 11. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Conduct assigned classes in accordance with the approved master course syllabus and stipulations of the department, including administering a final exam or culminating activity, meeting all assigned class times and submitting attendance and grades as per college processes. Utilize the current College course management system (Canvas). Establish, post and maintain at least one-half hour before or after class meetings. Adhere to copyright laws provided on the Library site for the college web portal. Regularly check Cecil College email accounts and respond in a timely manner to emails from the department chair, administrative staff and students. Use Cecil College email for all college communications. Participate in Cecil College Academic Monitoring. Submit any Incomplete Grade Contracts to the Administrative Assistants in Academic Programs. Support College-wide testing and actively encourage students to participate. Participate in course assessment and program reports, as needed. Complete required Safe Colleges. Support the mission, vision, and values of the College and the policies of the Board of Trustees. Act in accordance with applicable laws, College policies, rules, and expectations, and the terms of the contract for the current academic year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK: Master’s degree in Mathematics or equivalent graduate credits. Successful college-level teaching experience strongly preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical Demands: This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as sedentary work involving lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as an office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., safe workplace practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations. The Fiscal Year 2026 Credit Adjunct Scale: 2 semesters or less at Cecil ($830-$855 per credit hour depending on degree) and more than 2 semesters at Cecil ($855-$880 per credit hour depending on degree).
