Construction & Maintenance Technician I, II, or III

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Construction & Maintenance Technician I, II, or III for our client. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering competitive pay and the potential to join our client's team permanently.

Position Summary

The Construction & Maintenance Technician is responsible for the construction, installation, and maintenance of header houses and related wellfield components. This role supports projects from well installation through full construction and operation of header house systems, including lateral lines, feed lines, and downhole equipment. The technician will work with a variety of tools, equipment, and materials while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and assemble header house components using PVC, HDPE, polypropylene, stainless steel, and other materials.

  • Assist with the installation of submersible pumps and motors in wellfield wells.

  • Install metering equipment to monitor flow rates, pressures, and ORP levels.

  • Operate equipment used in wellfield construction, including forklifts, air compressors, poly fusion equipment, and poly reels.

  • Install electrical wiring and piping for individual wells.

  • Assist in constructing header house drainage basins.

  • Fabricate and assemble manifolds and other header house components.

  • Safely operate company vehicles, trailers, hand tools, generators, compressors, saws, grinders, and forklifts.

  • Handle commonly used chemicals such as glues, primers, and cleaners.

  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and work performed.

  • Support preventive maintenance and basic repair of mechanical equipment.

  • Follow all company safety, environmental, and operational procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 1 to 6 months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Valid Class C driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills, including multiplication and division.

  • Ability to safely operate construction and maintenance equipment.

  • Commitment to following industrial and radiation safety policies and procedures.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and use hands for handling tools and materials.

  • Must be able to repeatedly lift and move 25 to 100 pounds.

  • Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This role is primarily performed outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, mud, and wind. Employees may also work around moving equipment, uneven terrain, wet surfaces, and conditions commonly associated with a uranium ISR facility, including low-level radioactive materials and radiation.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
