Role Overview This is a vital, non-treatment position where your expertise is used to review complex medical histories, conduct thorough physical evaluations, and provide medical opinions to support VA disability claims. Key Responsibilities Thorough Evaluation: Obtain in-depth health histories and perform comprehensive and focused physical examinations on claimed conditions. Records Review: Conduct a complete review of medical records via a cloud-based EHR system. Medical Opinion: Order necessary diagnostics/ancillary services and provide medical opinion decisions based on your physical evaluations. Documentation: Submit all findings and documentation via an online portal, ensuring charts are submitted within 24 hours. Qualifications Experience: NPs in Texas must have more than 3,600 hours of qualifying NP practice experience (due to state restrictions).
