This role emphasizes patient-centered, evidence-based care, health promotion, and collaboration within interdisciplinary healthcare teams./ppKey responsibilities include:/pulliProviding comprehensive midwifery care, including prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum services/liliConducting gynecologic examinations, preventive screenings, and family planning services/liliManaging low-risk pregnancies and births within scope of practice/liliPerforming vaginal deliveries and assisting with obstetric procedures as appropriate/liliProviding newborn assessments and care as permitted by scope and privileges/liliEducating patients and families on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and wellness/liliCollaborating with obstetricians, nurses, lactation consultants, and ancillary services/liliIdentifying high-risk conditions and initiating appropriate consultation or referral/liliParticipating in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning/liliMaintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record/liliSupporting quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice initiatives/li/ulpPractice settings include:/pulliHospital labor and delivery units and/or outpatient womens health clinics/liliMay include on-call, shift-based, or scheduled coverage depending on practice model/li/ulpPatient population includes:/pulliWomen across reproductive and post-reproductive stages/liliObstetric patients with low-risk pregnancies/li/ulpQualifications include:/pulliMasters or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Midwifery/liliGraduate of an accredited Nurse-Midwifery education program/liliCurrent certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)/liliEligible for unrestricted advanced practice licensure in the practicing state/liliDEA registration or eligibility, if applicable/li/ulpSkills and competencies include:/pulliStrong clinical assessment and decision-making skills/liliExpertise in normal pregnancy, childbirth, and womens health care/liliExcellent communication and patient education abilities/liliCommitment to patient-centered, culturally competent care/liliAbility to work collaboratively in a team-based environment/li/ulpWork environment includes:/pulliWomens health and maternity care settings/liliMultidisciplinary, collaborative care model/liliEmphasis on safe, supportive, and family-centered care/li/ul/div
