Job Title

Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Location

Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13-week assignment | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver age-appropriate, specialty-level nursing care across multiple pediatric settings as assigned
• Adhere to facility float pool policies and maintain competency across all assigned units
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes across pediatric specialties

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; must be comfortable across pediatric care settings
• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
