This role is ideal for a senior-level engineer who enjoys balancing technical excellence with client-facing leadership and long-term business growth.You will oversee bridge projects from concept through construction, working closely with public agencies, internal teams, and senior leadership. This position offers a clear path toward broader leadership, team development, and influence within the structural engineering discipline.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and analyze existing and proposed structures, including bridges, culverts, buildings, and related infrastructurePlan, direct, and manage all aspects of local, county, and state bridge projects, including permitting and agency coordinationLead and contribute to bridge inspection programs and reportingPrepare clear, competitive, and technically sound project proposalsProvide construction-phase support, including contract administration, project coordination, permitting, and budget controlManage project financials, ensuring compliance with budgets, schedules, and contractual requirementsBuild and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a trusted technical advisorRepresent the company within professional and civic organizations such as ASCE, NSPE, and local Chambers of CommerceSupport senior leadership in growing the structural engineering discipline and expanding client relationshipsProgress into managing, mentoring, and developing a team of Structural Engineers and Designers, with responsibility for utilization, profitability, and overhead performanceQualifications:B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalentProfessional Engineer (PE) registration in Pennsylvania is required; New Jersey PE preferred10+ years of relevant bridge and structural engineering experienceProven experience working with local and state agenciesPrior involvement in PennDOT and/or Turnpike projects is highly preferredStrong client management experience across the full project lifecycleExcellent communication, leadership, and project management skillsSolid understanding of contractual requirements and complianceWorking knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferredExperience with structural design software, including PennDOT programsWhy is This a Great Opportunity:Lead high-visibility bridge projects with public-sector impactLong-term career growth into senior technical and people leadershipStable organization with a strong regional reputationCollaborative environment where expertise and initiative are valued
