Case Manager

Job Title: Case Manager Location : Charlotte, NC Reports To: Program Manager Classification: Exempt/Full-Time Family Services of America Corporation is seeking a Qualified Professional / Case Manager to support youth in our Emergency Placement Facility in Charlotte, NC. This role provides case management, service coordination, crisis support, and supervision of Behavioral Technicians in a fast-paced shelter setting. Key Responsibilities Complete intake assessments and develop individualized service plans/placement agreements for youth residents. Coordinate care with DSS partners, families, schools, medical providers, court personnel, and other collateral contacts. Monitor resident progress, update service plans, and support safe transitions or discharges. Supervise, train, coach, and support Behavioral Technicians assigned to the shelter. Respond to behavioral or mental health crises using trauma-informed de-escalation strategies. Maintain accurate case notes, reports, incident documentation, and service records. Participate in rotating on-call coverage for emergency placements and after-hours needs. Support program launch activities, staff readiness, workflow development, and shelter operations as needed. Must meet applicable Qualified Professional requirements for North Carolina child-serving programs. Licensure as LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA, or eligibility for licensure in North Carolina preferred. At least three (3) years of experience in child welfare, foster care, residential care, emergency shelter, or a related child-serving field. Experience supervising, training, or mentoring direct-care staff preferred. Valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Must successfully pass all required background checks before employment Compensation & Benefits Annual salary range is $52,000–$57,600, commensurate with experience.
