Electronics Technician Maintenance III

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As an Electronics Technician Maintenance III , the work you do at GDIT directly strengthens the operational readiness and mission capability of our customer. You will ensure critical Army Logistics Information Systems (LIS) and C5ISR‑enabling platforms remain fully mission‑capable, enabling uninterrupted support to training, sustainment, and operational requirements.

• Lead technical maintenance operations — Perform advanced diagnostics, software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting across AFMIS, CASI/VSAT, GCCS‑A, and other logistics systems essential to mission execution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams — Work closely with JRTC personnel, system owners, engineers, and Information Assurance staff to resolve issues, validate system performance, and maintain accreditation compliance.
• Drive mission‑ready outcomes — Provide over‑the‑shoulder technical assistance, execute software updates and fixes, and conduct system operations analysis to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Utilize advanced tools and technologies — Operate diagnostic software, test equipment, Windows/Linux/VMWare environments, and network troubleshooting tools to ensure precise and compliant maintenance execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• AFMIS, CASI/VSAT, GCCS‑A operations — Install, configure, troubleshoot, and operate AFMIS, CASI/VSAT, and GCCS‑A software and supporting components.
• JRTC field support — Provide direct field support for Army Logistics Information Systems during Joint Readiness Training Center rotations.
• Technical assistance & training — Deliver over‑the‑shoulder support, user training, software installations, updates, and corrective actions.
• System troubleshooting — Perform software, hardware, and network diagnostics, identify issues, and execute resolutions.
• Information Assurance support — Assist IA personnel with accreditation documentation and compliance with directives and regulations.
• System operations analysis — Conduct analysis of system operations to identify performance issues and recommend improvements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: AA/AS (or 3+ years of experience in lieu of degree)
• Experience: 3+ years of electronics maintenance or LIS/C5ISR support
• Technical Skills: CASI/VSAT , AFMIS , and GCCS‑A operational experience Windows/Linux/VMWare server and client maintenance, patching, and upgrades Networking fundamentals and system configuration Client/server interaction including web‑based application support and integration
• Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance
• Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE
• Role Requirements: Ability to travel to customer locations; onsite support required
• Preferred: Military experience (Target MOS: 25B or 92A )

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $37.87 - $51.23. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
