Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery - Per Diem

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Job Description:

Join a dynamic per diem nursing team specializing in labor and delivery, where you'll blend clinical excellence with compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. As a valued RN, you'll support labor and delivery patients through active labor, assist with procedures as needed, monitor fetal and maternal status, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based care. You bring an active RN license, current certifications in core obstetric and resuscitation skills, and demonstrated experience in fetal monitoring and obstetric care coordination for diverse patient needs. Requirements:
  • 2 years experience required
  • CA RN License
  • EMSA not required
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • Advanced fetal Monitoring
  • Circulating C-section skills
  • Strong clinical assessment skills related to L&D and co morbidities of DM, Hypertension, Obesity and Hemorrhage
  • Two direct supervisor references updated within the last year and from work experience within the last two years; must be from the unit they are applying to; 1 reference must be included at time of submission; peer references not accepted
  • 1 year separation period for PIH staff employees required
  • Allscripts EMD training prior to start on their own time
  • License hits/DNR: any hits will require facility approval; DNRs will be rejected
  • Returning PIH reference and Updated Supervisor reference at time of submission
  • Submissions with two or more health system pipelines will be rejected
