Salary Range $41,753 - $52,191. Final compensation is based on factors such as the skills, qualifications, and experience. Foster a positive, inclusive team culture grounded in open communication and YMCA values. Hire, train, coach, support, and motivate assigned staff teams. Oversee daily operations of assigned program areas, including scheduling, staffing, and coverage. Support the Physical Director in achieving departmental goals, monitoring performance, and completing daily operational tasks. Lead assigned teams to meet or exceed revenue, participation, and service goals. Assist with managing expenses and assigned budget areas. Communicate and implement operational policies, procedures, and updates and ensure staff compliance. Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, member-focused programs through evaluation, innovation, and staff development. Identify training needs and provide ongoing coaching and development. Gather and respond to member and staff feedback and resolve concerns in a timely, professional manner. Maintain assigned direct service hours and provide coverage as needed. Attend and actively participate in required trainings and meetings. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by the Physical Director. Minimum Qualifications Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification from an approved provider (ASHI or Ellis & Associates). Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to serve a diverse community. Minimum of three years of experience as a personal trainer or certified group exercise instructor. NCCA-accredited personal training certification (e.g., ACE, ACSM, NASM, ISSA), nationally recognized group exercise certification or multiple specialty group exercise certifications. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Preferred Qualifications Multilingual skills. Experience supervising staff or volunteers. Bachelor’s degree in Fitness Management, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Health/Physical Education, or related field.
