CT Technologist
Under the supervision of the radiologist, this position provides patients with various types of CT procedures.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
- Performs CT procedures.
- Obtains guidance from the radiologist when order appears unclear or inappropriate.
- Obtains pertinent histories and explains exam results to patient.
- Procures results on Stat exams and calls results.
- Answers all phone calls and schedules special procedures.
- Maintains work area and equipment.
- Helps to train and orientate new staff and students to job functions.
Job Specifications (Minimum Requirements) Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Proven venipuncture skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, interactive and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with doctors, nurses, technologists and support staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a stressful environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and the ability to work independently without specific supervision in a self-confident manner.
- Must be professional, courteous and must have a positive attitude.
Education
All post high school education must have been obtained from a recognized College or University. Additional education may be substituted for experience requirements should the substitution not conflict with State or Board certification/license requirements.
- Associates Degree in Radiology Required
Experience
- Successful completion of a clinical rotation through a CT Program at an accredited college Required
License/Certification
- Active Indiana Radiologic Technologist License Required
- ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
- ARRT (R) Radiography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
- Certified Basic Life Saving Certification Required
