Vessel Fitter

Department: Fabrication Planning & Production Control

Summary

• In this role, the Vessel Fitter will assemble various vessel detailed parts, with the ability of running basic shop tools (grinders, chippers, buffers, torch, overhead crane, & forklift). Ensure proper placement and alignment according to drawings and instructions.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

• Has some degree of general knowledge of all aspects of the Fabrication Department.
• Basic knowledge of Vessel drawings.
• Bridge tack with GMAW.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
• EE must align with EFX visions and values.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or 1 to 2-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired.
• Minimum of 1 - 10 years of relevant industrial experience required.
• Must have general knowledge of pipe ISO's.
• Must be qualified in GMAW.
• Demonstrates knowledge on the pipe fitting processes for industrial piping.
• Requires oversight on fitups.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Primary functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
• Works under immediate supervision.

Physical Requirements

Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and walking on a constant basis. May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
