Junior Architectural Interior Designer – Hospitality Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Rancho Santa Margarita, CA (On-Site Preferred) About Ujas Hotel Furniture: Ujas Hotel Furniture is a vertically integrated hospitality design, procurement, manufacturing, and installation company specializing in hotel renovations, conversions, and new construction projects across North America. We provide end-to-end hospitality solutions including design development, brand submittals, procurement, manufacturing coordination, logistics, installation management, and project support for leading hotel brands. Position Summary The Junior Architectural Interior Designer will assist the Design and Project Management team in producing hospitality design documents, Revit models, construction documentation, interior design packages, FF&E layouts, and brand submission packages for hotel renovation and new construction projects. This position requires an individual who is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting aggressive deadlines. Primary Responsibilities Architectural Design Develop complete architectural and interior design drawings using Autodesk Revit. Prepare floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, furniture plans, finish plans, elevations, enlarged plans, schedules, details, and construction documents. Assist in preparing permit drawings and hospitality brand submittals. Modify existing architectural drawings based on field conditions and client comments. Produce accurate as-built drawings from field measurements and surveys. Coordinate architectural documentation with engineering consultants and project managers. Interior Design Develop guestroom, corridor, lobby, breakfast area, public space, fitness center, meeting room, and exterior design layouts. Select and coordinate finishes including flooring, wallcoverings, paint, lighting, plumbing fixtures, accessories, artwork, furniture, and decorative elements. Prepare finish schedules and interior material specifications. Create presentation boards and client presentation packages. Revit Modeling Build detailed BIM models for hospitality projects. Maintain Revit families and project templates. Create custom Revit families when required. Coordinate linked architectural, structural, and MEP models. Maintain BIM standards throughout the project lifecycle. Resolve clashes and coordination issues. FF&E Coordination Prepare furniture layouts and installation drawings. Coordinate FF&E specifications with procurement teams. Tag furniture, fixtures, equipment, accessories, and finishes. Assist in preparing Bills of Materials (BOM). Verify quantities for procurement and manufacturing. Coordinate shop drawings with manufacturing partners. Rendering & Visualization Produce high-quality photorealistic renderings for client presentations. Create 3D walkthroughs and presentation models. Develop concept boards and visual presentations. Generate marketing-quality images when required. Project Coordination Work closely with project managers, procurement specialists, manufacturers, installers, and clients. Participate in internal design coordination meetings. Review shop drawings and vendor submittals. Assist with Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and design revisions. Track design changes throughout project development. Documentation Prepare construction documentation packages. Create hospitality brand approval packages. Maintain drawing revisions and document control. Prepare specification sheets and material schedules. Organize project files according to company standards. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited university or college. Certifications Required: Autodesk Revit Certification from a recognized educational institution or Autodesk Authorized Training Center. Preferred: Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) – Revit for Architectural Design. LEED Green Associate. WELL AP Certification. Required Experience 1–3 years of professional experience using Autodesk Revit in an architectural or interior design environment. Prior experience preparing architectural construction documents. Experience working on commercial, hospitality, multifamily, healthcare, office, or institutional projects. Experience managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of architectural drawing standards and documentation. Hospitality project experience is highly preferred.
