Physical Therapist – Critical Illness & Rehabilitation | Cleveland, OH

Location: Cleveland, OH

Facility: Regency Hospital of Cleveland East (Select Medical)

Contract: Up to 13 Weeks

Start Date: ASAP

Work Setting

• Critical Illness & Rehabilitation Hospital
• Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH)
• Collaborative multidisciplinary care team

Schedule

• Day Shift
• 8-hour shifts
• Monday–Friday
• 40 hours per week

Job Summary

Provide comprehensive physical therapy services to medically complex patients recovering from critical illness, injury, or surgery. Evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maximize mobility, independence, and functional outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and mobility interventions
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and caregivers on mobility, safety, and home exercise programs
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and case management
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) License
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current BLS/CPR Certification (if required)

Preferred Qualifications

• LTACH or inpatient rehabilitation experience
• Acute care or ICU experience
• Experience treating medically complex patients
• Experience with EMR documentation
