Job Title PPM Safety Supervisor Job Summary PPM Inc. is seeking Safety supervisors across the southeast to ensure the health and safety of workers, the jobsite, environment, and general public. The role involves inspecting jobsites, identifying hazards, implementing safety strategies, investigating incidents, coaching employees, ensuring compliance with OSHA and corporate policies, and maintaining safety records. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure the health and safety of workers, the jobsite, environment and general public. Inspect jobsites to identify potential hazards, assess risks and report them, taking appropriate action. Create a safety culture and advise leadership of possible risks. Investigate incidents to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences. Provide guidance and coaching to field employees. Communicate and collaborate with management to align safety strategies with corporate expectations. Assist in responding to significant safety events such as serious injury, illness, fatalities, or regulatory action. Recommend safety program changes proactively and educate employees on preventive practices. Collect, validate safety records and complete safety audits. Qualifications and Skills OSHA 500/510 Certified. CPR/First Aid Certified. Thorough knowledge of industrial safety and OSHA rules and applications. Ability to review work packages to detect unsafe practices before execution. Experience Five years in safety coordination related to operating fossil power generating facility maintenance and/or modification activities. Ten years of total experience in safety activities for power plant maintenance or construction. Physical Requirements / Job Site Requirements Complete hiring paperwork electronically. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Have sufficient strength and stamina for technical duties. Move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas. Maintain full range of motion consistent with age. Climb ladders and maintain balance. Respond to verbal commands and alarms. Maintain visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination for work at heights and uneven surfaces. Wear safety/steel-toe shoes.
