Electrical Technician (Industrial) - Plattsburgh, NY

Pay: $35.70/hour (Union - non-negotiable, increase to $36.77 in August)
Schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM | 2-2-3 rotating schedule

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Technician to join a growing packaging manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems to support continuous production in a fast-paced, heavy industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, motors, drives, and PLC-controlled equipment
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems as needed
• Bend, run, and install conduit in an industrial setting
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including LOTO procedures
• Document maintenance activities and support continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance or electrical experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and mechanical systems
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), VFDs, and motors
• Ability to use a multimeter and work with high-voltage equipment safely
• Experience bending and installing conduit
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics preferred
• Must have own tools
