Global Talent Partners is excited to present an opportunity for an experienced Veterinarian to step into a Veterinary Medical Director position with an established AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This position combines hands-on clinical medicine with genuine hospital-wide leadership. You'll continue managing your own medical, surgical and dental caseload while helping shape clinical standards, mentor fellow veterinarians and work closely with hospital management to support the continued development of the practice. As Veterinary Medical Director, you'll remain actively involved in clinical medicine while providing leadership and guidance across the veterinary team.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Managing your own medical, surgical and dental caseload
•Providing hospital-wide clinical leadership
•Maintaining high standards of veterinary medicine
•Mentoring and supporting fellow veterinarians
•Providing guidance on challenging and complex cases
•Leading collaborative case discussions
•Supporting veterinarian onboarding and development
•Helping establish and maintain clinical protocols
•Promoting consistent standards of patient care
•Supporting quality-improvement initiatives
•Working alongside hospital management on clinical priorities
•Encouraging effective utilization of the technical team
•Supporting efficient clinical workflows
•Promoting a positive and collaborative hospital culture
•Helping veterinarians develop their individual clinical interests
•Supporting the continued growth and development of the hospital
