Position Overview This opportunity is available as part of a leadership succession plan. Reporting directly to the President, the Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of safety, manufacturing, maintenance, engineering support, quality, and continuous improvement activities. This role requires a rare combination of hands‑on plant manager leadership, business acumen, and technical capability. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable analyzing operating metrics, leading strategic initiatives, leading an operations team, and solving complex manufacturing challenges on the production floor. The Plant Manager will be a key member of the leadership team and will help shape the future direction of the company through operational excellence, employee development, and continuous innovation. __________________________________________________________ Salary and Benefits Base Salary range: $130,000 - $155,000 per year Annual Bonus - discretionary based on company performance Annual allocation of stock per ESOP Plan 401(k) plus 401(k) matching ¼% up to 1st 6% Vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off - 20 days per year Employee assistance program __________________________________________________________ Woodfold has a zero tolerance substance abuse policy which conforms to the federal requirements regarding a drug‑free workplace. Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Remove barriers that make work more difficult for production employees. Monitor, and when appropriate, establish new key performance indicators (KPIs). Leadership & Workforce Development Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and manufacturing personnel. Nurture a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork. Support succession planning and talent development initiatives. Maintain positive employee relations within an employee‑owned environment. Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills. Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to improve profitability. Support annual planning and capital investment decisions. Drive improvements that enhance operational and financial performance. Technical Leadership Aptitude for product engineering and product development. Oversee equipment maintenance and reliability programs. Evaluate and implement automation, technology, and process improvements. Support new product introductions and production scaling. ______________________________________________________________________________ Qualifications Must haves: 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience. Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives. Strong understanding of manufacturing financials, cost accounting, and operational metrics. Experience leading maintenance and capital equipment projects. Experience managing custom, made‑to‑order, or low‑volume/high‑mix manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
