Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse, Riverton — This position involves providing direct nursing care to patients on the medical-surgical unit. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans, medication administration, patient education, and responding to life-saving situations. The role requires collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position: Medical Surgical Floor Nurse
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Wyoming Registered Nurse (RN) or multi-state RN license, American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications, 1+ year of clinical nursing experience
- Additional Information: The nurse will provide bedside care for a variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery, initiate patient education, change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs, and assist physicians during examinations and treatments. The position also emphasizes timely, accurate documentation and participation in discharge planning.
