Working under the direction of a Pharmacist, you'll gain exposure to the many moving parts of modern pharmacy practice from patient care and prescription processing to lab work and pharmacy operations. You'll leave with practical experience, professional confidence, and a deeper understanding of how pharmacies truly run.

What You'll Experience

This internship is designed to give you a well-rounded view of pharmacy practice:

Patient Care & Customer Experience

• Assist patients via phone, email, and in person
• Observe pharmacistpatient consultations
• Help resolve customer questions and concerns

Pharmacy Operations

• Fill prescriptions and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision
• Stock shelves, label medications, and organize inventory
• Maintain medication and supply inventory
• Support cashiering and point-of-sale functions

Clinical & Professional Development

• Stay informed on new, discontinued, or updated medications
• Communicate with physicians for prescription clarifications
• Learn insurance processing and pharmacy workflow systems

Administrative Support

• File patient records
• Process insurance claims
• Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and organization

Requirements

Who Should Apply

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program
• Active Pharmacy Intern License from the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy
