Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS)

Salary: $48,000 - $55,000 annually (based on licensure and experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Comprehensive Benefits Package

About the Role
Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS) to join our clinical team in Walnut Cove, NC. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services in alignment with program standards, accreditation requirements, and evidence-based treatment practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments addressing behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic clinical record (ECR).
• Participate in utilization review processes and provide required clinical documentation.
• Support aftercare planning and outcomes data collection.
• Contribute to program curriculum development, training initiatives, and clinical literature review.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
• Conduct Level of Care Assessments (LOCAs).
• Provide crisis intervention and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Complete required trainings and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Chemical Dependency, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active LCAS (Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist) credential required.
• Experience in substance use treatment strongly preferred; experience with trauma, mental health, or eating disorders is a plus.
