Registered Nurse - Critical Care/PACU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shifts: 3x12-Hour (06:00 - 18:30) with on-call requirements including 2 eight-hour weeknight shifts and 1 twelve-hour weekend shift every 6 weeks.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Critical Care/PACU will provide comprehensive patient care for adults and pediatrics undergoing various surgical and procedural interventions, including trauma care. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment that supports a diverse patient population, ensuring effective and timely care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Critical Care and PACU settings.
• Administer medications and monitor patients post-surgery.
• Assist with and manage complex medical equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Cerner Aecis SurgiNet charting system.
• Respond to patient needs with compassion and professionalism.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Critical Care or PACU with Level I Trauma experience.
• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Required certifications: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS.
• Preferred experience in SICU, MICU, and CTICU.
