Operations Assistant, CasualThe Operations Assistant, Casual performs a combination of clerical duties that require knowledge and application of various work methods and procedures.ResponsibilitiesType or enter information into the computer to prepare correspondencePrepare, issue and send out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements and checksIssue licenses, permits, certificates, writs, or other legal documents and/or titlesReceive and issues receipts for payments on licenses, permits, certificates, bonds, service, etcPrepare envelops and packages for mailingOpen and route incoming mail, answer correspondence and prepare outgoing mailAnswer telephones, convey messages and run errandsStamp or number forms by hand or machine and photocopy documentsProofread records or forms, sort and file records and index records and informationTabulate and post data in record booksTransfer information from reports, code numerically and post to prepared code sheet, ledger or journalCount, weigh, check, analyze, measure and/or classify materialAdjust complaintsConduct limited researchOperate various office machinesMaintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environmentWork in a team setting to accomplish departmental goalsOther duties and projects, as assignedRequirementsEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience:Prior experience in the transportation industry, preferredPrior typing/data entry and clerical skills, preferredComputer Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to use various office machines.Additional Requirements:Shift days and hours required for this position vary by location and may include days, nights, and/or weekends.
