Overview As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients’ well-being and recovery. You will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and implementing patient care plans. You’ll collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Follow the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. Assessment – Demonstrate a systematic, dynamic approach to collecting and analyzing healthcare consumer data including psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Plan – Set measurable and achievable short- and long-term goals according to standards of care based on the assessment by the nurse in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team. Implement – Implement and/or modify the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning based on standards of care and evidence-based practice. This includes care coordination, education, and discharge planning. The nurse is accountable for the care directly, indirectly, or through delegation. Professional and legal standards for delegation must be followed. Evaluate – Use a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress toward identified healthcare consumer goals. Revise the plan of care when needed in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and the multidisciplinary team. Document all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer’s record. Qualifications Graduate of an RN nursing program, upon hire Registered Nurse: NE, upon hire Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR, upon hire Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – within 5 months Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – within 5 months Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – within 6 months Where You’ll Work CHI Health St. Mary’s has served Nebraska City and the surrounding areas since 1927.
