SummaryThe Benefits & Data Specialist supports the HR Department in performing employment-related initiatives of total rewards. The Benefits & Data Specialist is responsible for performing operational support in the areas of compensation management, benefits administration, institutional reporting, record keeping, billing, budgeting, and policy compliance of the institution. Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms administrative and strategic support for the Human Resources DepartmentProvides direct support to the department in benefits administration, HRIS functions, organizational development in the areas of staffing reports and data analytics for department and institutions, and other college initiativesServes as subject matter expert for benefit related inquiries and policies and enrollmentManages the administration, including billing and reconciliation, of all employee benefits and servicesInstrumental with managing department budgeting through billing and invoicing processes Leads the coordination of Wellness Initiatives and other HR EventsProcesses all benefit and non-benefit related billing and invoicingPerforms all Open Enrollment Project Work including employee communications, carrier changes, enrollments and COBRA AdministrationParticipates in the Benefits Committee and Investment Committee for our Retirement PlanManages HR data in the college HRIS systemsHelps to administer TIAA Plan Sponsor initiatives and daily administrative needs, including bi-weekly funding contribution in a timely manner Initiates and manages the performance review processManages Workers Compensation and FMLA claim administrationAdministers the Tuition Remission, Exchange and Graduate ProgramsWorks with Director of Institutional Effectiveness and the Business Office in reporting IPEDS, AAUP and other college required internal and external reportingIn collaboration with the Director of Human Resources and the Business Office, completes CUPA HR benchmarking surveys and ACA reporting on an annual basisDevelops and analyzes HR metrics, through CUPA HRPerforms faculty and staff benchmarking research, analysis and proposals for alignment to Director of Human ResourcesServes as a member of the campus safety committeeHelps to monitor Federal, State, and local laws in accordance with college policiesManages, gathers data and files and assists with College ERISA AuditHelps to create HR webpages for MyW&J Fosters positive employee engagement through employee relations and building connections on campusCollaborates with the HR Team in developing outcomes for AssessmentsSupervises HR intern tasks and approves time sheetsQualificationsBachelor 's DegreePHR or SHRM-CP certification or Masters preferred.Engagement with HR communities/associations2 years of human resources management experience with demonstrated knowledge of human resource principles, practices, and labor/employment laws.Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.Ability to coach and counsel employees and management on issues relevant to job duties.Open and easily approachable.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Supervisory DutiesThis position supervises HR Intern duties.
