Exciting Opportunity for a Gastroenterologist

We are thrilled to present a hospital-based GI Hospitalist position that features block scheduling, a focus on procedures, and no outpatient responsibilities, allowing you to contribute to the development of a burgeoning inpatient GI service.

A regional healthcare system located along the Texas Gulf Coast is in search of a Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist to become part of a newly established inpatient GI hospitalist program. This unique role allows for a complete focus on inpatient Gastroenterology while offering a consistent schedule and a favorable work-life balance.

This position is tailored for physicians who prefer consultative and procedural Gastroenterology without the pressures of outpatient care. It provides robust support, flexibility, and the opportunity to help create a new service line from its inception.

Practice Highlights

• Exclusively inpatient Gastroenterology
• No outpatient follow-ups, clinic duties, or inbox management
• Flexible block scheduling options: 7 days on / 7 days off or 14 days on / 14 days off
• Focus on inpatient consultations and procedures
• ERCP skills are welcomed but not mandatory
• Support from Advanced Practice Providers and collaborative specialty coverage
• Access to modern endoscopy facilities and EPIC EMR
