Description
The Dietary Aide follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and state guidelines to ensure that food is properly prepared, served to residents, and after meals are completed cleanup of the dining hall and dishes.
Primary Responsibilities
The Dietary Aide:
- Assists with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations
- Prepares and serves beverages
- Sets up and passes trays for meal service
- Stocks snack cart
- Busses tables and trays
- Cleans the kitchen work area
- Does dishwashing
- Follows proper handwashing guidelines
- May be assigned additional special projects or tasks by the CDM or the Executive Director
Qualifications
Educational/Training Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Licensing Requirements:
- Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate
Experience Requirements:
- Working in a commercial kitchen experience is preferred
