Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg

Job Details:

• Work as part of MedSurg Float Pool, floating to various units throughout the hospital including ER Holding/Boarding
• 12-hour shifts: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM or 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• Patient ratios: Days 1:4-6, Nights 1:6
• Minimum 2 years MedSurg experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Care for medical surgical, oncology, cardiac, ortho, and neuro patients
• Handle chest tubes, stable trach management, IV skills, port/central lines
• Manage CPAP/BiPAP/Airvo equipment knowledge, foley insertion/care, feeding tubes
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and titrate drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, argatroban
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• One full shift orientation plus additional unit-specific orientation as needed
• Schedule made 4-6 weeks at a time, received 2 weeks prior
• Block scheduling considered upon request but not guaranteed
• May work 50% of holidays during contract
• Professional solid color scrubs required, no graphics or logos

The facility provides comprehensive medical services including medical surgical units, oncology care, cardiac services, orthopedic and neurological care. The organization maintains a traveler-friendly culture with strong teamwork atmosphere and offers 24/7 support services including respiratory therapy, hospitalist coverage, and remote telemetry monitoring.
