Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med Surg/Telemetry for an exciting travel assignment. This role requires highly skilled professionals who are committed to delivering quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Job Description

This position involves working three 12-hour night shifts with additional hours available as needed. Registered Nurses are required to work every other weekend, and holidays as needed, while ensuring flexibility and adaptability in their schedule. The role includes a non-billable orientation period of 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to other Medical Surgical units as required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of current Medical Surgical nursing experience is required.
• Experience with post-operative patients is mandatory.
• Orthopedic nursing experience is also required.
• Telemetry experience is necessary to handle monitoring needs.
• Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course is strongly recommended.
• Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be presented upon profile upload.
• A valid Massachusetts RN license is required at the time of application.
• A personal vehicle is necessary for this assignment.
