Vascular Surgery Locum Opportunity in Ohio

Schedule:


• Full-time, whenever they are available, until we find a permanent surgeon **Could be working holidays **

• Willing to confirm a provider for six months to start

• Monday- Friday

• See scheduled patients in the clinic: Yes

• Clinic hours: 9am - 4:30pm

• Clinic call: Yes

• Weekends: On call two weekends a month

• We have one PRN surgeon on staff. If the locum provider isn't interested in working as a full-time provider, then may need to piece together two locums with some help from OSU.

Call:


• Rounding

• How often do they get called in vs. phone consults? Could be a couple a nights per week or none.

• Hospitalists currently do not admit our patients for vascular.

• On Call 24/7 except for when they are off on the weekends. Weekend call is 5pm Friday through 7am Monday.

Procedures:


• Current OR days are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

• Required procedures: All procedures that are listed on the vascular delineation


• We would not be willing to accept candidates that cannot do these procedures.


• They will have an operating room blocked to themselves three days a week. It is a normal Operating Room and not a hybrid room (which is room with x-ray imaging). We don't do any procedure (vein specific) in the clinic as we don't have a procedure room built into our clinic at this time.

Patients:


• Average number of patients per day: 2-3 surgeries, on clinic days up to 16 patients

• Peds: No

Other:


• Specific skills that the candidate must be able to do in the role: Time management, work collaboratively with CNP and other providers, will have to attend Morbidity & Mortality quality meetings monthly.

• Will need to be the supervising physician for our PA first assist (will need to sign a supervision agreement)

• Support Staff: PA first assist, CNP, Nurse, MA

• Sole provider: Yes, until permanent replacement is found.

• Potentially open to locum to perm options as well as strictly locum.
