Property Manager

The Property Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of first class commercial office buildings in the Akridge portfolio. Their primary obligation is to provide outstanding customer service to Clients, investors and vendors through innovative, responsible and responsive building management and financial management techniques.

This position will primarily sit at The Mills Building, located at 1700 Pennsylvania Ave NW. Please note that assignments are subject to change.

The Property Manager will also coordinate with the Building Services, Leasing, Construction Management and Accounting departments to ensure outstanding customer service is provided to our Clients and Investors.

This position reports directly to the Portfolio Manager of the assigned properties and works in cooperation with the Building Services staff, property management staff and other members of the building team, outside contractors, and in the service of all Building Clients.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year university preferred
• 5 to 7 years' experience in commercial property management
• Real Property Administrator (RPA) or Certified Property Manager (CPM), LEED AP or LEED Green Associate designations preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to resolve difficult situations and conflict efficiently and professionally
• Detail oriented, with strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills
• Ability to perform multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and to work under pressure while maintaining a professional attitude
• Self-confident with leadership abilities and accelerated growth potential
• Ability to operate independently while also performing as a member of a team
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and ACT project management software, Cardin, Yardi, MRI, Realogic, Energy Star Manager and LEED Online and MACH Energy

Physical Requirements

• Involves work of a general office nature usually performed sitting such as operation of a computer.
• Involves movement extensively within buildings to facilitate work.
• Involves movement throughout commercial office buildings including roofs, penthouses, mechanical rooms, basements and garages and Client space.
• May require daily or routine travel between several buildings and visits to the main office.

This position reports directly to an Akridge Senior Property Manager who provides guidance and coordinates, evaluates and monitors work performance.
