TECH - MH/BH (NO DEGREE)

Responsibilities La Amistad is accredited by The Joint Commission. We offer a number of options (tracks) for MHT staff, including PRN, Full-Time, and a Clinical Track. The MHT staff work directly with their assigned client population and are primarily responsible for client safety through programming and observations. Essential Job Duties Assists and monitors client’s activities of daily living. Provides an alert, sensitive, and supportive attitude with clients, families, employees, and management. Interacts therapeutically with clients in one-to-one situations, community, and group meetings. Has a basic understanding of common psychiatric diagnoses. Maintains professional boundaries and demonstrates effective communication. Qualifications Job Requirements: Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred. Preferred experience in a psychiatric hospital setting as an MHT working with children, adolescents, and/or adults. License/Certification not required. Skills: Demonstrates verbal and written communication abilities. Clear background check for criminal activity. Physical requirements: extensive walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs; able to lift over fifty (50) lbs. Eligible for a $1 to $3 shift differential in addition to regular hourly pay rate.
