The position is in South Houston Monday-Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm (Some Saturdays) Our client, one of the largest line pipe distributors in the United States is looking for a reliable Diesel Mechanic. Your New Role: As a Diesel Mechanic, repair and maintenance of forklift, heavy equipment, and trucks in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics where applicable, and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. What You Will Do: Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications. Repair and replace damaged or worn parts. Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects. Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs. Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. What You Need: High School Diploma or GED 1 – 3 years of pipe yard and forklift experience Knowledge of Diesel Engine and Hydraulic Systems diagnostics and preventive maintenance. Must be willing to work overtime as needed. Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs. Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
