Summer Server PositionThe Osage View Restaurant has an opening for a Summer Server position. This individual will be servicing the main restaurant, the back patio, and the pool area. We are looking for candidates available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.Servers are responsible for greeting our guests, taking orders, and serving food in a fun and recreational atmosphere. Dependability, a positive attitude, and attention to detail is required for success in this position.Essential Functions:Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming mannerPresent menus and answer questions regarding food and beverage optionsTake orders on an electronic deviceDeliver food and drinks promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfactionAnticipate and attend to customer needs throughout their dining experienceClean and prep tables with special attention to sanitation and presentationClean restaurant and other dining spaces upon guests leavingHelp clean, organize, and restock restaurant at the close of shiftProcess payments and maintain accurate cash/credit handlingOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):This position requires a high school diploma.Must be 18 years of ageMust possess excellent customer service skillsOutstanding interpersonal and communication skillsThe ability to move with a sense of urgency & efficiencyAbility to remain calm, and maintain a positive demeanor even during high-stress situationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBasic understanding of food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking proceduresMust be able to work quickly and efficientlyMust be able to work independently as well as part of a teamMust be able to work well under pressureAbility to maintain personal cleanlinessPrior experience as a server is preferred, but not requiredPhysical Demand and Work Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
