Fleet Coordinator

, you will play a key role in managing daily transportation operations by coordinating drivers, monitoring service activity, and ensuring resources are utilized efficiently. You'll communicate with drivers, assist with service coverage, track fleet activity, and help resolve operational issues as they arise. Success in this role requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused in a fast-moving environment. Key Responsibilities of a Fleet Coordinator:

Fleet & Driver Coordination

Assign transportation requests and service coverage based on operational needs. Monitor driver activity and vehicle utilization throughout the day. Coordinate schedule changes and service adjustments. Maintain communication with drivers regarding assignments and operational updates. Ensure adequate coverage to meet customer demand. Driver Support

Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers during their shifts. Provide assistance with route information, service updates, and operational questions. Communicate important information quickly and clearly. Help resolve driver concerns and escalate issues when necessary. Support drivers in maintaining productive and efficient service. Service Monitoring

Track ongoing trips and operational performance. Respond to delays, scheduling conflicts, and service interruptions. Assist in maintaining on-time service and operational efficiency. Identify opportunities to improve workflow and resource allocation. Support daily transportation goals and service standards. Administrative Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records of fleet activity and driver assignments. Update operational information within company systems. Assist with reporting, documentation, and recordkeeping. Monitor schedules, service levels, and operational data. Ensure records are complete, organized, and accurate. Problem Solving & Operations Support

Quickly address unexpected operational challenges. Coordinate solutions for service disruptions and coverage issues. Work closely with operations and leadership teams. Support process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer service. Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned. Qualifications of a Fleet Coordinator:

Required

High School Diploma or GED. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization and multitasking abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Reliable attendance and professional work ethic. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred

Experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, scheduling, customer service, or administrative support. Experience using GPS systems, fleet software, or scheduling platforms.
