Performs a variety of laboratory tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Required Education: Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience Recommended Education: Bachelor's Degree Required Work Experience: Entry Level - Experience not Required. Recommended Work Experience: Required Certifications: 1 of the following certifications must be obtained in one year - Recommended Certifications: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - AMT - AMT, Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - ASCP - ASCP Description

1. Assists with research, development, and/or validation of new policies, procedures and/or instruments.

2. Manages stock levels, rotation, and monitors expiration. 3. Performs laboratory procedures and calculates, transcribes and records test results. 4. Prepares and manages specimens for analysis, refers results to Pathology, correlates results and communicates and documents findings. 5. Performs Manual Result Review and proficiency testing. 6. Performs maintenance procedures on laboratory instruments and/or equipment. 7. Performs other duties as assigned.
