In this position, you'll work on moderately difficult and/or routine architectural planning, design, and support during construction work throughout the entire duration of Capital Improvement Program (CIP) or Operating Budget projects involved with the planning and design of public structures and buildings!What You'll DoProject Development: assist in investigation of moderately difficult architectural problems, writing reports, and recommending corrective actions.Consultant Contracting: assist in processing the necessary paperwork and actions to acquire consultant services including funding and development of contracts.Project Planning: perform calculations and research to assist in the preparation of planning documents and design for moderately difficult projects.Project Management: assist and help coordinate and provide architectural review for the development of project plans, permits, designs, specifications, cost estimates, construction contract and any other documents prepared by consultants.Special Work Requirements Occasional exposure to construction and traffic hazards, chemicals, paint fumes, noise, electrical hazards, and moving equipment. Some physical dexterity required to occasionally perform field investigations which includes: climbing ladders and walking on uneven or obstructed surfaces.
