San Antonio, United States | Posted on 06/03/2026 TheElectric Motor Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, andrebuilding electric motors used in a variety of industrial equipment, includingfield cores, bobbins, armature cores, electric motors, generators, and controlauxiliary boxes. This role may also involve fabricating or repairing copperconnections such as rings and jumpers. The mechanic ensures equipment isrestored to proper operating condition through inspection,testing,maintenance, and component replacement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnose, disassemble, and inspect electric motors and rotatingequipment to identify wear, damage, or performance issues Repair or replace defective components to restore motors to properworking condition Perform routine preventive maintenance and diagnostic testing onelectrical motors and related equipment Assemble and reassemble motors, ensuring proper alignment andfunctionality of all components Record production data, maintenance activities, and inspectionresults accurately and timely Work with various materials, including copper wiring, and fabricateconnections such as rings and jumper leads as needed Apply basic knowledge of production and manufacturing processes andquality control standards Ensure all work meets safety guidelines and company qualityexpectations Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required 1–2 years of experience in an electric motor repair or similarindustrial repair environment preferred Ability to identify, inspect, and test various types of AC/DCmotors Skilled in handling fine motor tasks such as cutting, stripping,grinding, bending wire leads, and soldering coil ends Strong mechanical aptitude with a steady, dexterous hand Ability to interpret instructions, listen actively, and make timely,informed decisions Basic understanding of raw materials, production processes, andquality control principles Ability to work under close supervision and follow establishedprocedures #J-18808-Ljbffr Puma Staffing
