Anesthesiologist

Riverside Doctors Surgical Center, part of Riverside Regional Medical Center, is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join their outpatient ASC team in Williamsburg, VA. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care for a diverse range of surgical cases. The position offers an opportunity to work in a well-established surgical center within a comprehensive medical facility.

Practice Info

• Outpatient ambulatory surgical center
• Part of Riverside Regional Medical Center, a short-term acute care hospital with 300 beds
• Case assignments include Ophthalmology, endo, ENT, ortho, GYN, and general
• Team leadership by Bobby Shelton, MD

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

• Salary: $380,000
• Sign-On Bonus Incentives: $70,000

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
