Job Overview

• Salary/Pay Rate: $23 to $33 per hour.
• Location: Loveland, CO (Travel Required).
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

The Opportunity

You will serve as a skilled craftsman executing technical, precise concrete installations for commercial and high-end residential real estate projects. This role gives you the autonomy to direct concrete casting and place expert finishes using a variety of specialized hand and power tools. You will have the opportunity to showcase your trade expertise while mentoring junior finishers in an environment that prioritizes excellence and teamwork.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Straighten, edge, and final pass hand trowel slabs to deliver first-rate, precise concrete floors and surfaces.
• Align and set formwork, string lines, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks to the desired depth and pitch without direction.
• Execute flawless finishes on a 7-yard floor and cut expansion joints by hand without needing outside assistance.
• Read and interpret architectural dimensions on project plans and rebar shop drawings to ensure layout accuracy.
• Mentor and provide vital on-the-job training for less experienced flatwork finishers to build rewarding careers.
• Direct the casting of concrete while safely navigating high-volume, technical commercial and residential jobsites.
• Coordinate with your crew leader to establish accurate grade settings, screed marks, and complex joint layouts.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience operating as a Flatwork Finisher or equivalent technical field experience in the concrete trade.
• Demonstrated ability to set string lines, formwork, and screed marks independently.
• Strong practical math skills, including an accurate understanding of pitch, slope, and percentages.
• Physical capability to lift heavy equipment up to 100 lbs and perform strenuous tasks in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, punctual attendance and a solid understanding of jobsite safety rules and procedures.
• Absolute flexibility to travel out of town during the week or on weekends for project assignments.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced knowledge of cutting expansion joints with power saws on large-scale commercial installations.
• Formal experience in structured mentorship or peer training on active construction sites.
• Strong blueprint reading capabilities specifically related to structural concrete and rebar layout.
